Trip Functions

One of the core functions on the ScanGaugeII is the built in trip computer. With the trip functions being bundled in expensive upgrade packages at the dealership and older vehicles not having the functionality this is easily one of the favorite areas on the gauge!

Display the following (all within one of the 4 areas below):

  • Maximum Speed
  • Average Speed
  • Maximum Coolant Temperature
  • Maximum RPM
  • Driving Time
  • Driving Distance
  • Fuel Used
  • Trip Fuel Economy
  • Distance to Empty
  • Time to Empty
  • Fuel to Empty

There are four areas within the trip functions.

  1. Current – Shows all that is happening on the current trip, resets if the car has been off for 3 minutes or longer.
  2. Today – Averages all data from the current day, resets if off for longer than 9 hours.
  3. Previous – Averages all data from prior day, when Today resets this is where the info goes.
  4. Tank – Shows all data from the time of the last fillup.

Here is a short video showing the different areas on a live gauge.
